Florida Theatrical Association – the non-profit presenter of Broadway in Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Miami – was founded with the charge of educating and developing new theater audiences and encouraging and preserving the presentation of touring Broadway Theater.
Since 1989 Florida Theatrical Association has presented over 1000 Broadway performances, distributed over $1 million in scholarships and grants to arts organizations across the state of Florida and seen numerous members from its Class Act performance troupe and workshops star on Broadway Our mission is to encourage the performing arts in our community.
If you’d like to help Florida’s young artists and performers, we invite you to support Florida Theatrical Associations’ Education Fund. Last year, FTA donated over $63,500 in scholarships and grants to high school and college arts students and non-profit art organizations throughout the state of Florida.
Florida Theatrical Association receives and processes close to 200 donation requests each year. Whether it’s providing a gift basket and tickets for a fundraiser or tickets for those that might never get the opportunity to attend a Broadway show otherwise, FTA donates over $120,000 in tickets every year to the community. One recent ticket donation in Orlando allowed over 150 children from the multiple children’s charities – BETA Center, Boys and Girls Club – to attend their first Broadway show, Storytime Live at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre.
To request a ticket donation for your organization, please submit a formal letter in company letterhead, outlining your company’s information, what your request is, how the tickets will be used and what day the event or ticket distribution will take place.
